Customizing Your Wedding Invitations

One of the best aspects of working with a custom stationery studio (aside from working with someone one-on-one) is the number of custom options that are available. Brides (and grooms!) are able to choose the fonts, colors and patterns of their choice to perfectly match their wedding.

I often get asked exactly how invitations can be customized so here are some ideas, but really the sky is the limit. The wording (of course) can be changed in any way you'd like; it can be changed from formal to casual (or vise versa), to indicate who is hosting the wedding, or to include additional details such as a wedding website.

The fonts can then be customized to fit the formality and feel of your big day and you as a couple. Hundreds of fonts are available ranging from formal serif block fonts, to gorgeous modern calligraphy-inspired fonts. And new fonts are constantly being added, so if you don't see the exact font you're looking for, just ask!

The ink and envelope colors can also be customized to match your wedding. Looking for something in coral that's shown in gray? Not a problem. Want to use a fun colored envelope instead of a more traditional white envelope? Great! Colored envelope options can be seen here, and ink color options can be seen below. Also, each sample from the Etsy shop comes with a color swatch card which allows you to see these color options in person.

And your invitations can also include patterns, either on the front of the invitation behind the wording, on the back of the invitation, on the response postcard or additional insert card, or on a bellyband (another great way to make your invitations unique for you!).
