Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and if you got engaged over the holidays, congratulations!

As the year ends I love to reflect on the previous year and 2011 was a great year for both Cricket and myself. I was able to work with over 50 couples this year creating some truly unique wedding invitations and coordinating items (including tons of great ceremony programs, reception items, and matching thank you cards). It is always so much fun to get to know brides (and grooms) and help them navigate the wedding stationery world, and this year was by far the best for getting to know some lovely couples!

Some really amazing things took place in the last 12 months. Cricket's website was launched in May of this year, finally! Cricket became a featured artist of Emmaline Bride, the Jena (wood grain) invitation was featured on Invitation Crush, the Felicia (pink peony) invitation was featured in Wedding Style Guide, Cricket became a member of Wedding Invite Love, and a variety of Cricket's invitations were featured on various blogs, and a ton of Etsy treasuries (as seen here, here, and here). The Cricketfold (a brand new, custom pocketfold style wedding invitation) was launched this year, along with a bunch of new designs, and a wonderful die cutting machine was added to the Cricket studio, which has been amazing!

So many great things are planned for 2012 for Cricket, I can't wait to get the year started! The 2012 invitation designs will be launching this month and I am so excited about them. They have been in the works for a few months now and will be wonderful additions to the Cricket collection. All of the new designs (as well as some existing designs) will now be printed using a brand new digital printing method and a slightly textured beautiful card stock - I can't wait to share photos,  they are absolutely lovely! Also in the works the past few months have been a newly revised Cricketfold invitation (but more on that very soon). The Cricket Printing website will be getting a major update this month, which will include all of the new designs, new photographs of all the invitations, new font and color options, and (brand new for 2012) pattern options! A variety of new coordinating items will also be added to the website in the coming months along with special die cut shapes, booklet invitations and boxed invitations, so stay tuned to learn more about those too!

Happy New Year!
